WHY HAVE AN ADJUSTMENT ?

NEED PHYSICAL THERAPY ?

BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT ?

One of the most common injuries from a car crash is the damaging effect of whiplash. Whiplash occurs when a sudden, jarring movement of the head is sustained backward, forward or even to the side. Whiplash destabilizes the spine and causes severe pain as well as these other indicators:

• Blurred vision
• Neck pain
• Headaches
• Dizziness
• Shoulder pain
• Reduced range of motion in the neck
• Arm pain
• Neck stiffness
• Low back pain

An important step towards complete rehabilitation is restoring proper spinal function through chiropractic adjustments.

Without some form of rehabilitation, recovery from an injury or a long-standing spinal problem can take longer to achieve.

Overlooking the importance of improved range of motion and muscle strengthening can result in a relapse, with your original health problem returning again and again. Chiropractic rehabilitation involves the restoration of proper joint function of the spine or extremities, and the strengthening of supporting muscles and soft tissue. This will usually involve specific spinal adjustments, combined with a program of stretching, resistance training, and exercises to improve muscle tone.

A chiropractor’s purpose is to restore function and stability to your spine. They do this by realigning the vertebrae in your spine using spinal manipulation. This releases tension in your spine, and allows for muscles to be relaxed. Pain associated with the misalignment, such as back pain, neck pain, and headaches, is relieved.

A chiropractor also affects your nervous system. The nervous system consists of your brain and spinal cord. The brain is at the very top of your nervous system, and the spinal cord runs down the length of your spine. Your nervous system controls every muscle, organ and cell of your body. With correct alignment of the spine, it allows the brain to talk to every part of your body which promotes better movement, balance, and nerve function.
